Introduction: Honey Prakshep dravyas (Aromatic herbs), Emblica officinalis (Amala), Jaggery, Ghee, Dasamula (ten roots), Astavarga (eight vital roots)
One of the oldest traditional Ayurvedic recipes, chyavanprash, has been used for centuries as a rasayana (rejuvenative). It is a tried-and-true rejuvenator that slows down ageing. It helps with general debility in old age, enhances growth in young people, strengthens the body’s defence against illness, and helps with respiratory tract infections.
Indication: General and old age debility, asthma, chronic cough and urinary troubles.
Doses: Adult : 2 teaspoonful twice day or as directed by physician.
Children: half of the adult dose.
To be taken orally with milk.
